Current Involvements

Projects related to Logistics & Supply Chain Management, supported by NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) and other organizations.
Projects related to Capacitated Planning & Scheduling, supported by some companies in China and abroad.

Hobbies

Playing badminton. I play it once a week with my friends.
Playing bridge. My favorite bidding systems are American Standard System and Chinese Precision System.
Communication with my classmates. I maintain an address list of my undergraduate classmates. If you had been within MATH-1984, you may contact me to get a copy of the list. I can send the list via email as WORD-format (Simplified Chinese version) or PDF-format file.

More about me ......

My Chinese name is  . My family name, "XIE", means "Thanking" in Chinese. My first name, "Jinxing", means "Golden Star" or "Venus" in Chinese. I really should thank God for giving me so much till now.
    I was born in the countryside in Central China's Hubei Province, a beautiful place with many rivers and lakes. During my childhood, I walked along country roads and enjoyed myself with the interesting country-life day after day. Both of my parents were cotton-farmers and I used to do some farming to help them when I was young. I have two elder brothers and I'm the youngest child in the family.
    I came to Tsinghua University, Beijing to study for my degrees in 1984. After I got my PhD in 1995, I became a teacher in my motherschool.
