Introduction

A conference on Interplay between Representation Theory and Geometry sponsored by Morningside Center of Mathematics, Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, CAS, will take place at Tsinghua University from May 3 to May 7, 2010. The conference is dedicated to the 65th birthday of Professor Claus Michael Ringel and Professor Kyoji Saito.

Registration

For registration, please send an email to algebra@math.tsinghua.edu.cn for registration. This email should contain: name and address, dates of arrival and departure, statement if an invitation letter (for a visa, we would suggest that you apply for a travel visa) is needed, statement if accomodation is needed.

Accommodation

All the participants will be staying in Jia-Suo Hotel and Jin-Chun-Yuan Hotel which both are located on the campus of Tsinghua University. The Jia-Suo hotel is about 400 meters far from the Department of Mathematical Sciences (The department is close to the North-West gate of Tsinghua University); and the other one is about 300 meters far from the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The standard room in Jia-Suo Hotel costs about 69 USD (or 470 RMB) per night, and the one in Jin-Chun-Yuan Hotel costs about 45 USD (or 300 RMB) per night.

Transportation

How to get to Tsinghua University from Beijing Capital International Airport:

If you would like to have some assistance at the airport, please inform us the time of your arrival with flight number. Someone will meet you at the airport and help ask a taxi to send you to Tsinghua University (in this case, you should look for someone holding your name at the exit of the arrival hall).

In case you miss someone who is supposed to meet you at the airport, you can get to Tsinghua University by yourself in the following ways:

The most convenient way is to take a taxi at the airport and tell the driver that you want to go to the north-west gate of Tsinghua University (or show the driver the Chinese characters (清华大学西北门). The Beijing Capital Airport is about 30 kilometers away from the Tsinghua University. The taxi fares in Beijing are quite affordable and you pay exactly the amount shown on the taximeter. It takes about 50 minutes and costs about 110 RMB (about 16 USD, including 10 RMB Highway Fee). You are advised to keep the receipt, which could help you find the driver when necessary.

Another way is taking a shuttle bus. It costs 16 RMB. There are several shuttle buses starting from the Capital Airport. You should choose the bus from the airport to Zhong Guan Cun. You get off at the stop of Zhong Guan Cun (the last stop of the bus). Then take a taxi to Tsinghua University (the north -west gate), it costs about 15RMB.
